Redesign name

The name ONYX'AS is inspired by the enchanting Onyx stone, whose origins are steeped in mythology. The word "Onyx" derives from the Greek term onux, meaning “fingernail.”

The addition of “-as” at the end of the name reflects Lithuanian grammar, proudly showcasing the company’s roots. This thoughtful blend of myth and local identity makes ONYX'AS a name that resonates with both meaning and purpose.

Challenge

Although the company has been operating for more than 10 years, its users are lacking brand awareness and therefore Onyx'as did not experience growth and return of users as expected.

Onyx'as actively organizes training abroad and participates in international competitions. They also needed a brand that would be easily recognizable not only in Lithuania but also abroad.

The client wanted the branding to be a bold and unconventional, highlighting a dinstinctive style and positioning the brand as a strong market leader

Onyx'as is a manicure and nail extension training centre based in Lithuania. The company has been operating for over 10 years and participates in international competitions alongside its students. The company's leader and founder, Ilona Vas, is a multiple winner of global competitions and a top trainer; her work is published in international magazines and exhibitions.

Branding

The primary mark of ONYX'AS is a blend of the letter "O" representing the brand’s initial, and the distinctive silhouette of the Onyx stone. Adding a vibrant touch, the Rubine red apostrophe serves as a key accent in the logo, symbolising the brand’s individuality and uniqueness. Together, these elements reflect the essence of ONYX'AS – bold, elegant, and unmistakably distinctive.
